Default Does anyone have a Spoon Snorkel and APR cooling

For some of you who don't know, the AP2s come with a safety arm bar in the front of the bumper that can be a nuisance when fitting the snorkel. I was able to fit the snorkel without too much of a problem, but I am having trouble fitting the snorkel with the APR cooling plate since the cutout doesn't fit the exact rearrangement of the snorkel.

Was anyone here able to get it to fit? I'm thinking I may have to resort to using the dremel to get this mother to fit.

I'm just not too thrilled at the idea of expanding the cutout of the snorkel any bigger than it needs to be to fit the snorkel.

They make 2 different plates unless I'm mistaken, one for Spoon snorkels, and one thats square for other snorkels. The cutout is slightly wider on the side closest to the radiator.

When I first got it, I didn't think it would fit. I had a hell of a time squeezing everything together because of that damn bar, but after rotating the bar 90 degrees the and cutting the bottom of the snorkel to match up with the 04 grill, it fit perfect.

I'm going to give it another try today. My cooling plate is the one made for the spoon snorkel, and I'm still having a helluva time getting it to fit.

btw i have that exact setup as yours..snorkel, apr plate, ztec heat shield

ok finally got this thing to fit :thumb:

I had to shave off the right edge of the cutout to fit the snorkel. I have no idea how you were able to fit the < > shape. The a/c line mostly got in the way, but in the end, I ended up shaving about half an inch on the cutout to get the snorkel to fit snugly, so the cutout looks like < / now instead of the < >. I hate how everything aftermarket has to be "custom" fitted with this car.

Thanks for your help though
