Does anyone know how to set the digital dash to always be on "bright" mode?

I like driving with my lights on during the daytime (I've got a silver and worry about those f@#@ing suv's not seeing me). Anyways, when you turn the lights on in the day, it dims the display. I know I can turn the display back into "bright" mode by pushing the "plus" button on the dash. The problem with this is that every time I start the car, I have to do this again. Do you guys know of any way to keep the display always on bright mode? Does this have an adverse affect on the lcd lifetime?

Yep. You just have to push the '+' sign every time. I'm sure that it will affect the life of the bulb, but I wouldn't worry about it. You'll change it out eventually anyway.

I don't see why it should. You're just setting the display back to what it would be doing if you didn't have your headlights on.

Push and hold the + button for a few seconds. This tip is in the owners manual.
