Does having all the original paper add real value?
My 2001 NFR has been mine for near a year now. The person I bought it from texted me with the news that he had found all the original paper that came with the car new.
One sad fact is the manual for the hard top (that he sold for $2200) kind of hurts to see.
Everything is there from the window sticker, the original invoice, all the things that came with the car new.
My impression is it might make the car easier to sell but not add to the price.
Anyway - nice to have.

I think it carries value in the sense that it would make your car/for sale ad stand out to potential buyers.
I bet it adds some actual value also. If you were browsing 2 very similar cars, the one with the paperwork might make a buyer decide to pay a little more.

Having this is proof the car was cherished by original owner, down to current owner. Adds intangible value.
I hope all S2000 owners cherish theirs.
This paperwork deserves to be preserved, not thrown away. There were only about 114,000 of these cars made, so hopefully any still remaining are collectible. Even if it doesn't add to the resale value, it's worth the cost of postage to get them from the previous owner to pass on to the next owner.
I personally love having all the paperwork well taken care of or at least kept when I purchase an older vehicle. Not sure it add any monetary value but it sure is nice.
Other day I saw one sitting outside someone's garage. Unregistered. Raggity, badly patched top. Sitting in front of a two car garage. Looks like it sat there all winter.
They couldn't clear out space in garage? Or get a cover so it doesn't leak into cabin?
Still, I've seen a lot worse. This car was still all one color, decent paint. Oem wheels, didn't look modified.
A new top, paint correction, fixing whatever is keeping it from not running, fresh tires, and cleaning up interior (hopefully doesn't include mold remediation) should get it back to former glory.
