Does having all the original paper add real value?

I never understood why people throw out their paperwork when they sell a vehicle. I always keep records it provides a good reference for maintenance. I don’t ever plan on selling my S but I am holding on to all the paperwork on it and I even have the little gray sleeve over one of the extra keys that has never been used.

New S2K owner here and wish I had more documentation for my car (it's in great condition btw). I'm the meticulous type to keep every receipt in a laminated binder and google sheet so that I can pass this on to a future owner if I ever sell. Also just helps me keep track of what I did, when I did it, and how much I paid. Original window stickers, booklets, etc are great imo but not sure it's worth a specific dollar amount but if I was buying I would 100% lean towards a car that had all that vs one that didn't. It just shows the car was cared for even more.
