It's just that sometimes i don't trust those Oil Companies....

Who even knows if there's a difference between 87 and 91 ??

just put 91. You can actually damage the engine if you put to low of octain due to our higher compression ratio. 91 or higher only.

I would think in theory the ECU should retard timing to compensate for a lower octane gas, thus causing you to lose power.

However, why would you even bother? If the extra 15-20 cents a gallon is going to break the bank, you should reconsider your purchase.

Read up on what Octane means...

It doesn't refer to better gas.

With our engines compression ratio 91+ is a must. I've only used 93 except like someone mentioned during the gas crisis.

87 is no good for this car.
