Sunny_p has it right on. Follow his advise and your problem will be solved. My top is almost always down so it's not a noise I was to fimillar with. But last week we had a full 6 days of rain which meant the top was up. Rattle rattle rattle...where was it coming from.? As I drove along I noticed that when I pushed on the passanger side latch the rattle would stop. Upon further investigation I found the problem exactly as Sunny_p described.

I had a latch rattle before too. I went to the dealer, they said the latch was cracked, and replaced it under warranty. Just my little bit of info.

I'm hearing rattling from the REAR latch (driver side). I'd go over a bump and the skirt of the top would hit the body and leave a scratch. I haven't had the top on for more than 2 weeks. I'm guessing it was a bad install.

Anyone have similar experiences? Any suggestions?

 

Mine was rattling. Turned out the screws had loosened on the right striker plate. Just tightened them up and all was well.
