does this seem right?
First time I actually checked my mileage out of 7 month ownership.
250 miles on 3/4th's of a tank.
Mainly city driving with max of 40 miles highway.
Bone stock with the exception of intake cover taken off.
Only use Shell V power.
Shift between 3K and 5K depending on situation, also VTEC'd a few here an there.
Dont race whatsoever.
So am I looking at average mileage here?
Or am I below normal?
Really would like to know.
I've done a search, got different postings then what I was looking for and also really didn't recieve type of driving done.
Would be nice to hear some input on this.

Low? He's still got a quarter of a tank left to go and I'm sure he can squeak 20 miles out of it.

On 3/4 tank 250 seems accurate.
A quarter tank will get you more than 50+ miles ..... what chu talking about willis!
Divide 250 by 0.75 and you get ~62 miles give or take per quarter tank.
To the OP, 250 on 3/4's of the tank is VERRYY decent. That's about what I get and I stay in the 3-4k RPM range without VTEC'ing.

1/4 tank is not 1/4 of a full tank of gas. The guages are weighted so that the first half tank much more than the second half of the tank. It's a psychological thing for people to make them think the gas is lasting longer.
WOW I really had no idea that was good!!
Honestly I thought that mileage would add a notch to the guzzling factor.
I guess im use to the non vtec 92 ludes mileage.
Would beat on that thing from rockford to Chicago on I-90 on a full tank and still have more then 3/4 tank left.
Thanks for clearing my mind though!! This is excellent!
Still very much a happy owner!

I drive it like a normal car in acceleration and shift points (3-5k). I leave the upper part of the tach for rare moments. I wind up with 26mpg on 60% highway driving. 250miles is somewhere on the back half of the gas guage.
I don't think that I have ever gotten 300 miles out of one tank... but I almost did once in Indiana between Indianapolis and Chicago. Man, there are like 3 stations between those cities. You have to drive forever to get to one. I was loosing my mind. I rolled up my windows, turned off the AC.
everytime a post like this comes up, i begin to feel like i am getting the worst mileage ever! With the mods in my sig....I get maybe 150-160 in 3/4's of a tank. But i pretty much do not drive freeways at all. my commutes are all local streets, which mean stop and go, plus i drive around a bunch of asians all the time, so the occasional p/o vtec happens very often hahaha. (I am chinese so I can say this
