Does the supercharger kit from comptech include an exhaust system? If not, is it necessary?

No, it does not include an exhaust, and no it is not "necessary". The car will see 100 HP gains (@85 at the wheels) just from putting the kit on. Put an exhaust on for the look/sound, it'll give a few HP as well - but definitely not "necessary".

Hmm ... Didn't everyone wish you get lots of goodies for the amount of money you pay for?

Oh, you get plenty of "goodies". They come in the form of , when people go as you smoke them. It's worth every penny. Unless you bought the car because it looked "cute", then who cares if it's fast(er)?

thanks for the info. Hey wesmaster, i'm thinking of supercharging my rsx. Do you think i'll have any trouble inside of 40K miles? I'm keeping it at the recommended boost level.

so you haven't suffered any problems with the supercharging? I'm just worried i'll blow the motor and destroy the warranty.

so...getting an aem cai is basically pointless since it would be replace with the charger's system, right? Sorry, I'm totally confused about this whole issue. I'm aching to modify, but i'd prefer not to get something now that i'd have to get rid of later to make room for the charger.

Correct. The comptech S/C kit contains its own airbox, so you don't need to spend the $$$ on the AEM CAI DUDE.

As far as your previous question about the warranty, it DOES void the warranty on the engine. Wes's engine has held up perfectly with the S/C addition. Comptech has went through great lengths of R&D to ensure that the S/C would not blow the engine. The drivetrain is a different matter. Just remember one thing if you get one, NO CLUTCH DUMPS!!! If you do, these words will become a part of conversation: AXLE and DIFFERENTIAL.
