RedRice, you should talk to Eddie (Mid-Atlantic's platinum S2000 mechanic) at Jim Coleman Honda about this problem you are having with your MY02.

I get the second gear grind, but only when I am accelerating quickly. I always have a hard time getting into second when the car is cold, but it has never been so bad that I felt the need to skip it all together.

What the hell is wrong with your cars? Strange! Mine is always smooth, cold or warm. Just had the clutch disc replaced today for free via the Honda Bulletin. It's even smoother now.

Your cars definitely don't like y'all. Sucks to be y'all! Sigh!!!

My 03 grinded once when I only had about 150 miles on it. But my old Prelude used to have a 1-2 gear grind and I would shift out of first, move the shifter quickly to the neutral position, than slam down into second. Everytime I used this method I never had a problem again.

My S has 750 miles now and all seems well.

You do know his "checkered" past on this forum, don't you? I wonder how long it will take him to get turfed again? Maybe permanently this time?

I am also having this problem. Once a mnnth or something I would have this. I should have it checked out. My car has only 5700 miles on it and i bought it brand new with 13 miles on it.
I am a decent driver and i do not how to drive manual. I guess it's time to take the car to the shop. So i guess i am not the only one with this issue.
thanks!
