Don't Press 'The Big Red Button'
You're not supposed to spray beofre around 3000 rpm because it puts more stress on the block.
Technically there are two switches, one of them that activates the system and one of them that sprays. One switch is located under the throttle peddle, and one is located wherever (I rigged the hazard button .. cause it's damn cool that way, but that requires someone who is pretty knowledgable with electronics)
So with this setup, whenever you want to spray turn the system on (hazard light lights up) then press down on the throttle all the way. You hear a clicking noise under the hood (I love neat little noises like that) and the spray is injected. At this point you have to press your head against the head rest cause that's what they do in the movie
The kick isnt that hard, but the car is very very fast!! A friend of mine in a Mazda MX6 has one in his and it kicks harder when he enables it. Apparently with slower engines you can feel it more. I had a passenger in the car and he was enabling and disabling the system while floored and you can feel the difference then (on off on off on off.)
Edit: You don't have to be in any specific gear, I just wanted to have a smooth start so that I didn't spray at lower RPMs and there wasn't any wheel spin. I was in first gear at 4000 RPM before I floored it (thus enabling the system.)

cj,
I was looking at the pics of the bottle placement, and I'm a bit confused. I thought that I read somewhere that NOS bottles are supposed to be placed with their nozzles angled down...any truth to that?

No, there is a little tube that runs down from the nozzle to the bottom of the bottle. You are supposed to position it with the nozzle facing towards the front of the car, and the nozzle elevated. When the car accelerates it gets pushed to the back of the bottle where the tube is. I dont have the best positioning (optimal would be in line with the car, nozzle facing front) but I worked with what I had.. I wanted to cover it up so no one could see it.
We shot it with out a jet on it, and I imagine that the bottle is capable of putting out about a 1000 shot if you really want it to.. we shot it up in the air to make sure it worked and it shot a spray out about 4 feet in the air and about 2 feet wide..
If you want a 100-150 shot then you should go with a wet system which is slightly more complicated.
I am not sure about the 12.1 compression, that's high as hell, how did you do that?
I wouldn't put a 150 shot in that...

Does Florida have a state inspection requirement? Don't the hazard lights have to work to pass? Can you re-wire the system for the hazard lights to work during inspection?
I'd love to see a comparison video. Or, at the least, some 1/4 times!

Man, I gotta drive it more!!!!
