Default Door Dings

Yesterday I got my car out the parking garage, and when I got home, I noticed some !!#%#&! hit me with his car door, made a dent about the size of a quarter. Has anyone tried that paintless dent removal? Does it really work.

yes it works...
there is a thread that discusses how to prevent this for the future, if the parking garage is at your office.

Yup. It does work in some instances. It's more hopeful if the ding is on a flat spot rather than a bodyline. Also, if there is a minimal amount of paint remove, your chances will be better.

Dent Wizards is one of the more popular chains. You won't be able to find the original spot after they're done.

I feel your pain.

Earlier this summer I returned from a business trip to find a door ding on my S2K that I'd left in front of my townhome.

The brow beating I gave my neighbor was "almost" worth it.

Fear not - a local "dentbuster" completely removed it for $40.

They did have to drill a tiny hole in the door well but it was filled and you would notice it if you didn't know about it.

Don't sweat it too much - this is a small and easily fixed problem

If the dent is around a hollow area its easily fixed by PDR. around the welds its not. The S is generally very easy to fix with dings.

I saw this tool on TV the other day called the Ding King. It might be something someone may want. http://www.dingking.com/

The good shops don't have to drill holes according to my guys. Glad it worked out for you though.

The Ding King thing looks like it may be good for big dents. I am not sure I see how it works for little door dings. I am trying to get a buddy to buy it then I can borrow it if need be

Last week a gate smacked my left front fender between the running light and the wheel well. A nice 4 inch crease up through the bodyline. The local paintless dent removal guy has 7 years experience and does high end cars so I tried him. Watched as the dent slowly went away. I can not tell where it was and it looks like new. $75 is all he charged. Make sure you get someone with a good track record. Anyone can buy the tools and hang out a shingle.
