Double Clutch Vs Heel Toe

I've been double-clutching (exclusively) for over a year. I don't agree with what you guys are saying.
However, I would think that combining double-clutching with heel-toe (i.e., corner braking) would be pretty challenging, but I do not think that these things are mutually exclusive.
I agree with the point that double-clutching is not strictly necessary. However, try to downshift your S2000 into 1st without doing so... Not so easy.

I just revved it real quick and it slid right into 1st.
Donut and PoweredByCamry are completely right
simply, heel toe for speed match the clutch while braking and down shifting before entering a corner.
on the other hand, double clutch for speed match the the internal parts of the trans mission and the clutch while down- or up-shifting.
for our s2000 there is no need for double-clutching because our transmission is fully synchromeshed.
use the heel toe down shifting all the time but use double clutching only when you feel there is huge speed difference between the internal transmission parts, engine and clutch. this will decrease the frictional load on the synchromeshes thus increase its life.
Saud2k, it won't take that much if do it quickly, only milliseconds

Double clutch is when u clutch in neutral, clutch out in neutral blip throttle, clutch in and downshift.
ANd heel toe is simply clutch in, blip throttle downshift,
is there a difference? i think in a video called "drift bible" he talked about double clutching and it seems like heel toe but u let the clutch out and rev man in neutral than switch gears...
i dont see a differences or maybe i am misinformed,
tell me wasup??

Heel-and-toe is when you do it while braking.
The name comes from the idea that you brake with one part of your foot, and blip with another part. In the S2000, most people brake with the ball of the foot and blip with the right side of the foot.
