Default Downshifting. is it safe?

Okay here's the deal, Ive had bad experiences with the diff launching my s, like everyone knows this car wasn't meant to be launched. But I've always wondered if downshifting hard into v tec puts just as much stress on the rear end since there is a slight delay and then it just launches forward. For example, riding in 4th at about 2.5k rpm and then downshifting into 2nd to catch v tec at about 6.5k rpm, is that safe? I know of course you can't overly exagerate with downshifts cause if go into a low gear at high speeds you'll blow your engine. So basically my question is, is downshifting into vtec to sort of "launch" the car while in motion safe? Could it possibly be a potential threat to the rear end or any other weak links on the car? Let's get some thoughts in here!

Did you ever get a danger to manifold warning or your floor pan falling off while driving?

You couldn't possibly have heard of Rev Matching could you have? People do that for a reason, because going from 2k to 6k in a millisecond isn't good...

Mother of god...

Your floor is going to fall out. But why down shift? It doesnt matter if ur win by an inch or a mile. Winning is winning. And by the way it sounds you are not going to be winning anytime soon.

I launch my car routinely and it see's some very aggressive downshifts and it's still OEM original with 67,000mi on it and no issues yet. It's not how hard it's driven...it's how well it's driven. If you launch it properly the diff has much much much less stress on it but if you simply rev it out to 7k and let your left foot go you can pretty much count the days until the diff pops. Just like downshifting...If you rev-match it really well there is little stress on the trans but if you're going from 3rd to 2nd without much rev-match and the tires are chirping as you let the clutch out it's gonna be harder on it. Smooth is key.
