Does anyone want to take the time to explain to me how to double clutch? I was looking at videos but they're not making sense to me. I think I could understand it better if someone explained it to me detailed in steps

keep in mind that double clutching is not important when you are driving on roads, as the technique is meant for racing. nonetheless, it can be beneficial to learn but focus on your downshifts if you want to keep your differential and transmission components in good shape for years to come.

technically "double clutching" is for older cars that didnt have synchros...you had to clutch to get it out of gear and then clutch to shift into the next gear...im not really sure what the modern definition of it is

The S2K is my first stick shift as well. As a fellow member has mentioned, double-clutching is optional on modern cars with syncros.
The first thing to learn is to rev-match properly. However, learning to rev-match can be done in phases.

1) Rev-match by using your left-foot(for the clutch), right foot to blip the throttle. [ do not try braking and bliping the throttle at the same time, let's handle this later ]
What if you have to slow down? Just let it into neutral and brake.

If you need to get going again, just blip the throttle, put the gear in gear and let the clutch out (gear selection is critical). If you are not sure what gear to select, put it back into the gear you were just in. For example, you slow down from 100km/h (60mph) to 50km/h (30mph), during this time you went from 5th gear to neutral). If you are not sure which gear is safe, just put it back into 5th. Sure, you may way out of the power-band, but you would switch gears once that happens. As you get more comfortable, you will know instinctively what gear to put it in. In short, play it safe, and take it up a notch at a time.

Once you are comfortable rev-matching by giving it just gas then its time for phase 2.

2) Heel-toe, braking and blip-ing the throttle with your right foot. There are many videos on you youtube that you can learn from. In short, there are two ways, pick one that works from you. Just so we are clear, below are the two methods
2a) Blipping the throttle & braking by using the left half of your foot for braking, and right half for throttle.
2b) Brake using the toes/cuneiform-area, and gas via your heel. (see http://www.podcare.com/foot-anatomy.html to see what I mean).

At this point, if you feel like it you can go learn double clutching. Personally, I never bother.

dont double clutch, thats what the magical synchronizers are for.

And I hate all of you that can heel toe. My size 13 feet only allow me to "blip" the throttle to 4k rpm... fml.

I thought bigger feet is easier to heel-toe??

what? my foot sideways, where my heel would properly have adequate room to force down on the throttle, would have my toe clutching at the same time and my left foot fighting my right foot telling him to get the f out of his bubble. Right now its arch toe clutching with my heel figuring out how far he can dig into the carpet before ripping it.
