ok this one just baffles my mind..

it was last night when me and a freind went to see a movie (evolution, great movie) i couldent find my ussual next to the curb spot so i decided since this guy just got off his bike(next to the curb) and went into the theater to see the same movie, i would park next to him (about 2 feet of distence between me and the open spot next to me) ok well i come out after the movie and guess what i find, a car full of teenage girls parked about 5 god damn inches away from my car wih about 5 feet between them and the van next to them. i go over and ask them if they would like to move so i could get into my car and the driver says "close call eh boys" in a smug tone, i was like WTF!! so i told her "get your F@#KING junker away from my car, and while your at it go back to driving school dumb b@!ch" AHHHHHH i cant stand ppl who cant drive and or park in the center of there spot let alone so close to my car that there inbetween spots!!!

Yup, leaving your baby parked and worrying about it is usual. I am also constantly worried that some idiot will ding me. I am hopeful that I will not need a ding buster man at anytime. I remember the dings on my Toyota MR2 and Acura CL 3.0. Still hurts me today, those minor comectic injuries are so aggrovating for me.

Hehe - how bad is this? I get to work 1/2 hour earlier than I usually would so that I can get a spot in the parking deck (we have both a lot and a deck) and put the s2k in an end spot or next to a support pole.

Right before I got rid of my last car (RX300), I went to BestBuy and found an end spot next to the handicapped spots. Normally these handicapped spots are never used (unless Ivs2k is in town ) so I figure I'm pretty safe. I go in, pick up a CD, head out the door and proceed to unwrap the CD so I can listen to it. So I'm fumbling around with my new CD when I look up to discoved that some a$$hole has let a cart go across the lot, through the empty handicapped spots, and smack dab into my car door. #$%%*#@#!!! (it still pisses me off). Anyway, it left a huge ding in the car and Dent Wizard left a huge dent in my wallet. Actually, it wasn't so bad, but the way I figure it, that was to most expensive CD I ever bought.

That sucks. Wouldn't Best Buy be liable for that???

we are in the process of exploring a move of our offices...
the main requirement that we have given the leasing agent is indoor reserved parking spaces!!

even in the reserved in-door space its in now, it gets covered and parked as far away from the only car near it as possible...

now, that must be the extreme for stook parking protection!

I understand your anxiety. Lucky for me, I get to work early and park next to one of the support poles in the parking structure and therefore have to only worry about one side of the car(the driver side), however this is always next to the passenger side of another car. Odds are that there are never any passengers. However, when I come down and I see that car has been backed into the spot, I always cringe thinking that they weren't careful opening their door. So far, so good, no dings, keeping my fingers crossed.

LOL....I thought I was the only one who was fanatical about their S2K....at least you guys didn't do the unthinkable w/yours! I drove into my very own garage to fast, & bumbed into the stairs(OUCH!).....left my own little ding on her front bumper. I was so sick & disgusted w/myself, I banned myself from driving her for a week as punishment....

I think all of us feel the pain. I also get to work early and park in between the support structures so the sides are protected.
Wife and I feel the same way about public parking so we seek out curbside to at least protect one side. Usually we look for on far away. Most folk stay away from the S2k but sometimes I come out and one car will be parked next to Melissa in the middle of nowhere. What the heck is that all about? Parking spaces on all sides, miles away from the building and they're POS parks next to the nicest car on the lot. I guess I should be happy I put the first scratch on my baby. Got too close to a curb and scratched the chin. Can't see it but I know it's there. Damn!
