Thanks, everyone! I'm glad to hear that others were also able to get one after a long wait.

Your story is almost a mirrors of mine. I just started high school when the S2000 debuted. I wanted one so much but obviously didn't have any money let alone a driver's license. The best I could do was drool over magazine articles (I remember both of the articles you posted). I went down the same path as you; college, grad school, land a decent job, save. I finally bought my AP1 last spring and it has been great. I even held out for one of the two color combos I wanted in high school.

I'm sure you will really enjoy yours for quite some time.

I can totally understand your feelings.

I too saw the S2000 when it was released and knew I had to have one. It took 6 years, but I finally got one - and 7 years later I am still loving this car.

Enjoy.

...and now your car is like the others in the picture – awesome!

This is a wonderful story. I really like it. You showed great patience. I'm glad it was rewarded with a great example of this car. Enjoy it!

Count me in as another who sincerely appreciates what you haven't done to your S2000.

When this car hit the market, it was too impractical for me to have one. I'm glad I resisted the offer for a test drive ten (or so) years ago when I first sat in one. Had I known more, or if I had been paying attention (like you were), the wait would have driven me nuts.

Story makes me smile because I know exactly how you felt during your wait, and how you felt the first time you drove yours home. It still gets me all giddy when I think back to the first couple days after purchase.

Haha that sounded like me but it was the 300ZX Twin Turbo that I was after. Got one when I started going to community college, and eventually sold for an S2000 now for UTSA Upgrade? I think know so. My 300ZX buddies? Not so much lol. But as much as I loved my Z, I love the S even better
