drifting the s2000
yea i know its a stupid idea, the car aint for that stuff... but ima try go a diff route. i jus cant let go my S. wondering who i can talk to or get any help to build it for drift. thanks.
i know that if you are serious you need to make it so the wheels can turn further, and you need more power, that comes up smooth, not like the typical vtec where you get a sudden boost of power, so maybe lower the point vtec kicks in, but thats about all i know about it, i don't drift and never care to.
i know good stunt drivers don't need basically anything to get a car to perform stunts, good luck and keep it off the streets when you drift, and practice with tons of f-up room.
also if you think this is what you want to do it might be helpfull to take stunt driving classes, they help with control when out of control, and teach you basic car control which is very usefull... i guess for drifting aswell as if you ever loose control anywhere any time.

^^ Good Info...Wasn't aware about the smooth powerband but I see your point. So, those "turboed" cars must have full boost built up in the lower rpms(i.e. 2000-2600) so the power is smooth to their 7k rpms or higher redlines?!!
Have you looked into the RS-R S2000 Drift car? Look into it and see what modifications the pros did as a reference!!!
Good Luck on your quest to becoming a drifter!!!

You can still drift with stock S2K, but you cant give much angle into it.
Practice with stock car first.
Once you have a "feel", you can start making a car to be more of "drift" friendly.
If you can do good drifting with stock S2k, you will feel very confident with other longer wheel-base cars.
