Drive a 2001 SK2 and compared to my 2000 S2K...
Very interesting results:
1) He has the stock shift knob, I have a Voodoo-- it feels like I'm driving an 18 wheeler the shifting is soooo long. BUY a Voodoo knob!
2) I have a strutbar, he doesn't-- MAN what a difference. At first (the first time I drove it), I didn't notice. After 4k mile, there is a HUGE difference! I'm only using an RM bar on mine--but let me tell you this, when I turn MY steering wheel, the entire car "moves" that direction. I can feel and VISIBLY see his car "bend/twist". A strut bar is a MUST.
3) I have a black s2k, his is yellow... soooooo many people want to play with the Yellows its silly.. AND I have to admit I felt like a ticket target-- it really stands out. I'll keep to black or silver.
4) I dunno why, but his car tends to lightly scrape on entering my drive way (not much, but the black plastic thing rubs a little)-- my s2k (2000) does NOT do this at all. So, something has changed in the suspension IMHO.
5) Something is different about the shifting mechanism... while I could find the gears fine-- it felt "loose", or easy to get into. Mine is more distinct as to what gear almost like the slots are bigger or something-- dunno if this is related to the shifter, or what... not too sure about this one.
Just my impressions...

p.s. the topic should had read "Drove" not drive..oops

Since we are talking about my car, I wonder if #5 is also because of the voodoo knob, or like Chris says, because I have twice as many miles?
As far as the brace making a difference, I also agree. When I drove Aaron's, I told him that I could tell a difference. A lot of people say that it does not do that much but both of us feel that it does.
Aaron and I looked at our cars side by side and even measured certain points and mine is a bit lower. Don't know why, but it is.

Since these car are virtually hand-built, I doubt if two cars, even the same model year, are going to be identical. Throw in the mileage variance, and the differences can be even greater, don't you think.
1. shift knob- Can the throw be that much shorter? I'd like a test-shift the next time I can make to your HH.
2. Strut-Bar- For me, it doesn't make a difference. I had the Comptech bar for about a month before I put on the Spoon X-brace. Then I felt a difference. However, I think they work better in tandem than individually.
3. Red is best!! Right Tex_S2k?
4. Suspension- It drops after a while, but the catch is (Aaron), you have to drive it.
The constant forces applied to the suspension, when driven, will eventually change the feel and make it "settle".
5. shifting mechanism- The same thing applies here with being driven more. The transmission gets smoother and I can verify that with my 32k mile/1 year old car.
6. Garage Queen is the answer...
7. see #3 above
8. Aftermarket radio/speakers perhaps?
Wesmaster, Lips2000, Unicron, Insomniak, Kibro, and RudyW were at an event and noticed a difference with the clutch feel as well. The MY2000 has a softer clutch(lighter pressure) than the MY2001. We figured it was attributed to the TSB-054 & 55 upgrades that the MY2001 gets from the factory.
Anyone else?
