Default Driver's door lock?

Just wondering, i've tried numerous times to lock my door via the drivers door lock. Only ONCE has this worked! I have to use the remote to lock the door, the passenger lock goes no problem, but the drivers side is very hard to push and bounces back, I did get it once though.

Something wrong here?

That's how it's supposed to work. You can manually lock the door with the door closed, but not open. If you wan't to defeat the feature, hold the inside handle out, then lock the door. The door lock works fine with the door closed. It's supposed to keep people from locking thier keys in the car.

AH! Thanks, didn't read the manual yet I must have been holding the handle slightly the time it worked!

Not unless you locked it.

If you manually lock the left door the right door lock actuator cycles to lock the right. If you unlock the doors with the remote and don't open any doors the car will relock both doors after approx. 30 secs.

No No, I meant, shouldn't I be able to manually lock the door when it's closed from the inside?

Wait that's what you just said, I'm sure it didn't work, I had my door closed and was trying to show my g/f that if I unlock my door it won't unlock hers (she didn't believe me) but I couldn't lock my door.

I'll have to try again.

You should be able to lock and unlock the left door when closed. You should not be able to lock the left door with the door open, unless you hold the inside handle in the open position.
