I know it was discussed on H-A Net, but don't remember what the final fix was.

When lowering the top (Cthree you don't have this problem since you don't put the top up) , my drivers side window starts to go down but stops after a few inches.

Does anyone know what the fix was? My car goes in for the first oil change next week.

Thanks,

Jim

That is very wierd because on some cars that is a feature. Mine always goes all the way down (I do take it out to wash it occationally). Actually, both windows do.

PokS2k,

I have the same problem. I belive they determined that the drivers side motor & relay need to be replaced.

I'm going to wait until something else goes wrong with the car to take it in. It's an irritant, but I can live with it for now.

Mine sometimes fails to go all the way down, but not always.

My solution is to release the top-down button and then press it a second time.

I don't want to bring it to a dealer for fear they will mess something up trying to fix it.

Mine does that too...was going in for service this morning....but we changed our plan.
It's ok if it doesn't go down more than a few inches when we drop the top. However, it's very annoying when one touch down doesn't work. Either one of us pay toll 6 times a day.

cthree,

Both of mine used to go all of the way down. Now only the passenger side does.

Mr. Pig,

You need EZPASS.

Speaking of EZPass, does anyone have a good idea on how to mount the tag without putting the velcro strips on the window. Maybe velcro on suction cups???

Sometimes I find it working on a hot day and/or when the car is warm.

We have EZPass for over a year now.
I refuse to be one of the crazy drivers who cut 3 lanes just to get to EZPass lane.
If I have to go through regular booth, I will.

I stick it onto the window.
What is the problem with that?
If you move out of northeast area, just take it off your window.
It's very annoying how some people just stop in the middle of EZPass booth and wave their tag around like idiots.

Mine is in the shop right now getting the window motor replaced as well as the transmission fixed for the 1st-2nd gear crunch. I will let you know if it works and exactly what they did when I get it back.
