Driving with S02 with no problems in this conditions [Pic]
Last weekend I travelled to the north of my country, a little bit scared about the announced snow, my S02, and some messages posted here.
I found this conditions on the road, and, driving at adecuate speeds, not specialy slowly, there where no problems.
By the way, I would like to say that last year, in my last 944, with Britgestone Potenza too, (but not S02), there where more snow than in this pic (almost white road) and certanly, there where problems, making me unable to follow the speed all the other cars in the road due to the constant sliding...

Hola!
I would certainly avoid trying to drive our cars on ice or snow.
But I think all the notes from people who say they "break loose" in the rain, or when the temperature is below 45F are pretty overblown. My guess is that they're kids (or old guys who never grew up) who try to drive in the rain the same way they drive when it's dry.
It's been wet and in the 30s here this week. I've been driving my MY02 S2K with stock tires like it's a regular car rather than a race car, and I have not had any problems at all.
Now last week in the ice storm......it stayed in the garage!

I've known this for 2 years. I've driven through torrential rains during my daily commute and realize when the rears are slipping. The tires are less grippy in the cold and wet, but what tires arent?
Common sense goes a long way! Drive accordingly.
