I just sold my 17' Mustang GT for an S2k last week. No regrets. Even with -225HP, -275TQ its more fun to drive.

Mine had some Bolt ons. At least 250tq. Stock was 400.

To me it felt like driving a Fusion with 2 less doors and a huge engine. Looked incredible but literally passed 5-10 daily on the street.

I bet! Love the UK style clear rear tail lights. Where I live it's the most common sporty car on the streets right now.

The Mustang is even "popular" here in germany, the best selling US car. A co worker and a girlfriend ownes one and you see one weekly. Thats a lot, compared to the uniform ocean of mostly German, French and Korean cars here..
Last week a black mustang convertible, the original one from the 60s, drove around. Just a nice car to see and hear.

The descriptions of your ideal road is exactly what I look for here in NC. Plenty of sleepy backroads with twisties and little to no traffic going through farmland and wooded areas. My wife and I have been on same great drives since I got mine last year. While I do like to Vtech at times, something can be said for cruising those back roads with your girl with some tunes on the radio and the sun shining down.
