My gf has a pair of Adidas Goodyear's that she likes a lot. Hers are different from the one pictures, though - the tread pattern looks like a tire's, and the insole has a printed map of Suzuka on the heel. They're also Suzuka Blue colored. Go figure.

cole haan penny loafers. Good pedal feel, don't have to lace them, and the rubber nubs on the pedals themselves keep grip with the leather soles of my shoes. the heels do dig into the carpet, but makes for a responsive pivot point for the heel. Best of all, I don't have to change shoes every time I drive.

I foound these to be much more comfortable than speed cats and I got them at nordstroms rack for only 48 bucks!
I also like the slightly raised heel which I think helps make the heel-toe downshifts slightly more comfortable to accomplish as opposed to the speed cats. Nonetheless, speed cats are great to drive in, they just hurt my feet after walking around in them after a while.
I also COMPLETELY agree with the classic samba. I have a pair in white that are very comfortable and great to drive in.

Steve madden kareem's. they're a little expensive but very comfertable and stylish. I wear them everyday. The ones I have are probably hard to find now, but the look sorta like these. The sole is very soft and just thin enough to feel the nubs on the pedals. SM sells all their shoes in different colors with the same basic style, so you have to look every now and then for something that isn't hideous.
