I have them down if the top is down. The top is down if possible; That is no downpour that would ruin the interiour and temperature over minimum safe to operate top according to manual.

But thats just me, and not about looks. I would lower the windshield if I could...

 

I do it with the heater on at highway speeds during the winter.

 

 

I never really understood it till i got my s2k. Now after trying to hear the phone while driving with them down i totally understand. Oh well it doesnt really bother me very much, plus it helps me keep a little warmer up here in Alaska.

I usually do this on the freeway.. rarely do I do it on the streets.

While we're on topic with the windows, do you guys actually notice a difference with the wind deflector? I tried putting the wind deflector down a few times.. didn't really notice a difference.

 

I ride with top down windows down when im driving on the street, but on the freeway windows go up. helps reduce wind noise, stereo sounds better, and hair gets less messed up.
