I have never seen someone with the top down and windows up in an s2k (and I usually see at least one per day). I think it looks goofy, like the old Lebarons when the windows would get stuck up. To each his own, but I bet if you asked anybody on the road they would say it looks weird.

top down, windows down. no exceptinos. if you can't hear the music, get a better stereo. if you're concerned about your hair, it's too long. if you get cold, wear a jacket. and the noise..... who cares. that's my $.02

[QUOTE=BB_S2K,May 7 2006, 09:47 PM]I used to think it looked funny, but when you own a convertible you learn that it really is functional.

I used to drive top down, windows up when I was on the freeway in my MR2 Spyders, even though it made me look like a jiz. With the Spyder it was noisy as heck with tons of buffeting with the windows down, but nearly calm and very quiet with them up. Once I got the S I found that having the windows up had relatively little effect on the cabin turbulence and noise. IMO it's luckily not really too bad with them down so I never put them up unless it's really cold out. And now I hardly ever look like a jiz anymore

I think that it looks weird and that you really don't want to go top down, probably freezing, but you want to look cool. I dont do it, but to each his own.

My side windows are tinted (13% visibility) so I'd REALLY look stupid with the windows up and the top down.
