drop the clutch or slip it??
i've read many topics on this subject using the search button but im gettin mixed results and lots of contradicting information. sometimes i feel like im knee deep in some bullshit....
but if i drop the clutch and will be better for the clutch but! worse on the drivetrain and the diff and the drive shaft....and axle too
but if i slip in the clutch its only gonna mess up the clutch...
tell me if im right or wrong....
and then how should i launch the car??

when u slip it, you're only causing damage to the clutch by prematurely wearing out the clutch disk.
when you drop the clutch, you are putting a lot of stress on the differential and drivetrain.
id rather slip it, the clutch is a normal wear item anyways...

ive just started autox'ing and finally at the last 2 events, I have learned ho to launch decently and I know I am slipping the clutch. I spin the tires a little and lanuch forward an when I come back to the pits, I smeel clutch sometimes. I have a worn CV joint (for no reason, i never drag or launch hard), so I'd rther wear my clutch which I will be replacing with my SC in the spring then break a VERY expensive drietrain. -Anthony
