Doesn't sound too bad, it is almost 3 years, and ya gotta thing, the battery is kinda wimpy to begin with. Just last week I left the radio playing by accident all week(car is not daily driver) and the batt. was comp. dead. So I jumped it and to my suprise it held a charge after about a 30 mile drive.

Also, consider that you live in texas and that battery is exposed to more heat than would, say, a 4 season type car. Heat is a battery killer. 3 yrs isn't bad to get out of a battery like that.

The stock battery seems to give up the ghost after anwhere from 2-4 years. Like most conventional batteries, when they go, they go for good. Time for a replacement.
I too would recommend the Hawker unit in the S2Ki store -- saves weight and has more graceful degradation. Since you're in TX you won't need the extra cold cranking amps from a conventional battery.

I agree with everyone else ... time to replace. remember, a battery is just another disposable commodity ... like tires. And it has been hot here in North Texas lately. Go with the lighter Hawker.

Mine is still going strong. Although after reading a number of posts that they do go bad after the 3 to 4 year mark. I am waiting for the day when I hit the start button and get the ever famous "click...c l i c k....c l i c k ............"

Just got my MY00 back from service, with only 20,000 miles. The tech said that the battery is going, and that I should replace it soon. Guess that battery is only good for a little over three years.

Never let your battery die - as they degrade, they put an extra strain on the charging system, which is much more expensive to replace/repair.
For OEM batteries, I replace at 3 years.
For aftermarket, I subract 6 months-1 year from the "guarantee" - it is cheap insurance.
