Dropping the Hammer on the S2000

I don't know of another place in the world where I can get info like this on the S2000.

Just remember, 3rd gear matches the tach. 3000 = 30mph, 4000 = 40mph and so forth. As long as your well under 90mph, you can drop back to third. I find third is a good gear when you're playing with someone on the highway; of course, I seldom, if ever, do this, and I don't recommend it by any means.

There must be some speed (perhaps 55mph or so) above which, if you downshift into second, the advantage of the hard but very brief blast of acceleration before you redline (63mph or so) and have to upshift doesn't gain you as much as you will lose during the upshift itself (even if you are quick). I wonder what exactly is that speed?
