The guy is upset that his f20c and tranny are giving him problems and you can seriously suggest he stick in a remanufactured rotary?
Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

Rotary motors have been known to make great power thats for sure, but reliability was never one of there selling points. I know plenty of people with FD's and they all love there cars, but hate the up keep.

I say the F20/F22 + boost is your best bet or keep saving for the 2jz everyone knows they are reliable and can make as much power or more than any of the other swaps mentioned.

Yeah you see alot of people putting Ls1's in their RX7's, But the LS1 doesn't really fit to good in the S. I thought about it when I blew up my engine but it would have been a lot more exspensive and would throw off the weight balance and the car wouldn't have to much traction.

Not worht it

.... knocking code could be anything from spark plugs or wires to actual motor damage.... check it out before you get into heavy expenses

STOP GIVING THIS GUY GOOD ADVICE AND JUST TELL HIM WHAT HE WANTS TO HEAR!

Don't bother to figure out what's wrong with your car, just rip it all out and throw in something else.

Forget an LS1, get an LS7. 505HP baby! DO IT!
