It's hard to tell what any of the exhausts truly sound like from a low quality video. What I'm mostly concerned with is that it doesn't sound like a civic is approaching before the car is in view. I know that's probably not an easy task, seeing it's only a 2.0/2.2 liter engine. That's why i'm going with the stock for now (plus i'm dead broke) ^_^

Does the comptech have a deep, throaty sound when revved into vtec? I guess i'm expecting to hear a cobra with a flowmaster.... that's all american cars are good for, their exhaust note tongue.gif
The comptech is deep and throaty until around 5000RPM, then (with the top up), it gets overtaken by the intake scream. With the top down, you can still hear it, and its still quite deep. You do not get that F1-like upper end scream that everyone likes about the HKS (but that is a good thing for me, as I wanted to hear the intake up there). The system that sounds most like the Comptech (based on sound clips and my physical listening to my exhaust) would be the Billy Boat exhaust. Sounds NOTHING like a ricer civic. You will know this is a quality exhaust when you hear it roll up.

It sounds (god forbid this analogy) like a 350Z or G35 down low (sounds smoother, though, with not as much burbbling).

You can also find them used. Got mine for $800 + shipping.

I will see if I cant get a better video / audio clip this week sometime.

The CompTech does not sound like a "tin can" at all. It has a nice, deep sound that is very pleasing. At 32, I can not stand being around an annoying exaust. I used to love them when I was younger, but no more.

The quality of construction and materials is excellent. I could not be happier.

What about Team Spugen? So far I think it is the best option for me. Can anyone offer anything about this exhaust?

I like the dual titanium.

If your going to spend the money for Comptech then spend a little more and go with something from J's or T1R. If money is no object, then there is nothing better than Amuse. Comptech is great for many things, I just don't feel exhaust's is one of them. Just my 2 cents

I purchased the new J's Racing dual exhaust for my 2005 S2000. It is lighter than stock and looks and sounds great. They are dolphin tips with the titanium burn at the ends. They may be more money than some other brands but they are worth the extra money. In addition if you want to remove weight you should also go with J's Header to enhance the exhaust. The combination will eliminate a lot of weight and give you more HP in the mid and upper ranges.

Obviously if you have the bucks their are many mods you can add to your S2000 but the Header, Exhaust and may be a better Intake, like the Comptech Ice Box, will give you more performance that you will have tremendous fun with.

Good luck.
Do you have any pics of your J's Racing dual on your car? I'm considering this and wants to see how it would look on the AP2. Thanks.

Supersprint sounds like an European sport car.

I love my Invidia. Awesome sound, but too much droning. Just got it so I don't know if it will get any quiter. I also have berk test pipe. Invidia is what I wanted because I love the attention I get from it. The more people look at my car the happier I am. I also have the AEM V2 and when I get into higher rpms, around 6000+ it seems as if my exhaust makes no sound and all I can hear is my engine/intake. You can also cure most of the droning with throttle control. Its a very deep, agressive sound down low.
