Default Dual Vs Single Exhaust

What is the benefit of removing the dual exhaust and putting a single exhaust on an S2K? Personally I dont like the look but I was wondering if there were any benefits.

ninegrand summed it up nicely...

looks more strange with the left side open with no exhaust...

Cost savings irrelevant if you get Amuse

Not to mention the single exhausts are the only ones that make any appreciable power gains, i.e., more than 2 HP

Yes, you're right, the Amuse dual does make power. Where's the dyno on the Spugen dual?

Spugen has one on their site both dual and single (or at least it was there last i looked) UL has also made comments in the past regarding hp gains on the Spugen.

Anyway I guess I was making more of a point regarding your choice of "more than 2 hp". Depending where the hp increase is on the curve, I doubt many (if any) people will detect 5-8 hp gain or loss.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the Fujitsubo makes more than 2hp. I think sebrings2k posted a dyno slip a while back.

I love my stock exhaust. Perfect for me.
Oh I forgot, Im keeping my car stock arn't I?

Went down that Modville hardcore when I owned VW.
At the end, I was out of $$$ and was regreting that I've spent all that money on a car.

S2000 is perfectly balanced as stock form already. I will be enjoying it stock for many years to come.
