Dyno pulls in 5th? or 4th
I've always done mine in 3rd, to reduce the time that the engine is at 100% load and thereby reduce the amount of head produced. The S2000 transmission does not have any gear that's 1:1, so they're all pretty much equal when it comes to losses. On some transmissions that had a 1:1 ratio for one of the gears, it was simply a direct engagement of the shaft, no gears involved at all, which is why it showed less loss. Again, our transmissions don't work that way.

actually the fifth gear is closer to 1.00(-.029 vs 4th gear .0161), but most tuner never use a overdriven gear for dyno for some reason.
