Default Dynoed my Vortech SC S2000 last night...

I did to dyno pulls in my S2000 last night. It was on a DynoJet. They only mod I have on my S is the SC, everything else is bone stock.

1st run: 273.8 RWHP and 176.3 lbs of torque

2nd run: 279.1 RWHP and 178.2 lbs of torque

I'm a bit concern with my AIR/FUEL, it was up at 17.5....shouldn't it be more like 12.5 or so??? Does that mean that I'm running way too lean or too rich???

I just have Denso Iridium plugs in there right now gapped to .035...my NGK Racing Plugs are on order. I also have my VAFC on order as well...I hope those would help me get closer to 300 RWHP.

I'll post a link to the dyno graphs as soon as I can scan them.

Was the A/F that lean throughout the rev range or only at certain points? What's the short and long term effects of such a lean condition? And would a vafc take care of this easily or would getting bigger injectors be an easier and cheaper fix?

The Air/Fuel graph goes down and up...not constant. On the printout it says max air/fuel: 17.5 so I'm not sure. I'll try to post a link to the printouts, so everyone can help me figure it out.

My A/F never went above 14.2 or so.

At low RPM the A/F will be quite high - check out one of my dynos (A/F charted at the bottom).

Wes: Mine looks very similar to yours...except during VTEC switch over, it jumps up

How much flow can the stock injectors put out???

I scanned the graphs...I just need to find a place to host it. I am also in the process of converting the video I had my brother tape of the two dynos.

The stock injectors are either 340cc or 360cc, I've heard different reports. From what I understand of Speedcraft's experiments the OEM injectors, with an FMU, can safely handle ~9 PSI. This has not exactly been reflected in 1RandyC's experiments with boost upgrades on the OEM injecters, though. Even his largest pulley leaned out. So, this doesn't exactly help much...just showing that it has yet to be documented exactly how much boost the OEM injectors can handle. I think at one time that UL told me that the OEM injectors should be good for ~350 whp...but don't quote me on that.

Don't worry about the air/fuel being 17.5 in one spot. They all start like that. From 4000-9000 did it go above 13.0? If so high much higher than 13 did it go?

Here is my dyno with LOTS of mods in addition to the supercharger:
I know...the plugs and VAFC won't do much...but I did say get me closer to 300RWHP

At 4000-4500RPM my Air/Fuel graph jumped to 14 and same thing happens at 6000-6500RPM... I'm assuming that's too lean? then it starts to go back down towards 12.5 as it gets closer to redline.

Do you have a VAFC harness or did you just tap into the wires? Also, do you tap the VAFC before the Vortech timing unit or after...or does it not matter?
