Thumbs down Dynojet VS Dynolog

I got in a few runs on a Dynojet and a few people had asked that I also go on a Mustang for comparison. I couldnt do that, but did get a chance on a Dynolog by Mainline. Dynolog rates lower than the Mustang does. So........... heres the results for anyone wondering about stock AP2 dynos.

Dynojet Results

Highest: 216.93HP & 151.7TQ

Dynolog Results

Highest: 199.8HP & 135.1TQ

That dynolog machine sure knows how to deflate our egos about our cars, doesn't it?

Note to self: stick with dynojets and dynapacks only

I'm not at all familiar with the DynoLog Dyno, but I think it's actually giving a more accurate/realistic reading. I use a three axis accelerometer setup and data logs to measure torque and power, and the corrected results are always embarassingly low compared to Dynojet results. Since I calibrated the accelerometers myself, and know I'm providing accurate inputs, the Dynojet's have got to be reading a little high.

LOL, and since I test to tune rather than for bragging rights I put consistency in measurements ahead of producing big numbers, and I don't share my numbers with people who don't understand that most dyno's are overly optimistic.

I dyno'd because greddy needed a baseline. I then dyno'd with the log because people were interested in getting a comparison to the Mustang, including Mavrik. We're going to use these numbers for tuning purposes later. Im getting a couple things installed this week and then dyno'ing again.... *wish me luck*

Colonel Mugen! I wuv you!
