Default Dynotabs increase fuel economy?

Does anybody know anything about these "dynotabs" which are supposed to increase fuel economy? http://www.mpdirect.com/index.asp?PageActi...223&dc=mpgoogle

I know we're supposed to use high octane gas anyway, but raising the octane even higher than premium seems like it couldn't hurt. I used to use a similar fuel additive (in liquid form) on my old Saturn, but that didn't require premium fuel either.

Anyway, if these don't work, does anyone know about anyother way to improve fuel economy. I remember seing somthing that you can put under the hood. Any advice?

FYI, if it is true that the dynotab increases fuel economy by 10%, that translates to a savings of $74 for every $30 pack of tabs (assuming you mix in correct proportions and were getting 26mpg to begin with). So every pack you buy is an extra $40+ in your pocket IF it does what it says.

I sincerely doubt these tabs will have any effect on anything. Putting anything much higher then the 91 octane needed won't hurt anything other than you wallet on a stock car. Much like putting 93 octane in a stock civic isn't going to give you a power or economy boost. In some gas stations their premium gas has more detergents in it to keep your engine clean, but unless you are experiencing detonation, there is nothing to be gained.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Here is the thing I was thinking of under the hood. http://www.myauto.tv/tfs/?PHPSESSID=e15738...9e09552017cf435

It installs into the air intake and supposedly dispurses the air more evenly giving a more optimal explosion in the combustion chamber. (I think that's what they're saying)

Anyone tried this (or know somthing about it?)

Just trying to do my part for the environment/USeconomy/Foreign oil dependence...

Thanks

This has already been proven to be crap as well. If you do a search people have torn this thing apart to no end.

Another scam and 1/2

sorry, I should have searched. But in my defense, I am relatively new to the forum. Thanks for the feedback anyway.

I don;t mind it when people ask a question that's been answered before. The search feature here stinks.
