Default E-Z On Tops?

My top got slashed, and my insurance company wants to replace the top with an aftermarket one from E-Z On Tops, Inc. I found many references to them on the web, but mostly for Miata tops. I couldn't find a direct website for them.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Do they fit properly? Do they last?

I'm tempted to insist that they give me an OEM top anyway, but just wanted to see what others knew.

Thanks!

I'd demand an OEM top. It's why you pay them every month.

My OEM replacement was $800 + installation. And that includes the plastic rear window. I think you can get a replacement from Cabrioworld (on eBay) that has the conversion for the glass rear window as well as the glass rear window itself for $650-750 (that is around what it was last time I checked). I would look into those.

WTF? You should demand an OEM top, unless YOU like something else that is less expensive. You're not paying premiums so they can ghetto rig your car with knock off parts b/c they want to save money.

What insurance are you going with?

The reason why insurance companies like to go aftermarket is because they put a depreciation on the softtop. Like the tops only have a particular lifespan....so they do no want to fork out the money for OEM replacement. I do not agree with it, but I had to go with an aftermarket top just receently. It was from cabrioworld. I got the one with the glass rear window instead of the plastic. As far as the material and fitment, It would be hard to tell that it was not a Honda top. The material and fitment is just like OEM if not better because now it is brand new and not 4 years old. So there is no GHETTO RIGGING with an aftermarket top, just to let you guys and gals know......
