Just what are M3 wheels, and what do they look like at 110mph? How many spokes do they have? Do you really get a rise out of making this stuff up?
M3's come with bigger wheels and smaller tires that fill up the gap and different body effects on the car. It had the M badge on the right side of the trunk, which is pretty visible with the HID's on the stook when coming up from behind.

And if you don't like these kinds of threads, then don't go into them calling someone a liar.

I love to see all those kill story!
I want to know what year is the M3 that huyto raced with.
I've raced my friend's '99 M3 in my NSX and I found them pretty fast, yes, faster than S2000. However, I believe the older M3 (pre 98?) has smaller engine displacement that might be slower.

i remember when C&D did a comparo between the S4 and a '99 m3, they got slower times on the 99 than the 98 or 97 they tested. maybe a quirk, but only the 95s are different in engine power... i think. the m3 and the s2000 are even steven.

I haven't hit top speed yet in my stook, 130 was about where I cut it off the last time. Need a flat, straight country rd. to try that next time but little bit too crazy even for me on a highway. Anyone just push it till the car wouldn't go any faster yet? Where'd it max out at officially.

I own both. A sharked (Jim Conforti software) 95 E36 M3 and an 01' S2K. From my experience, the cars are pretty even for high speed acceleration. I would not expect one to really pull away from the other. Though the S2K feels like it's going faster because of the sensation from the engine and wind noise.

The 95 E36 M3 had a 3 liter with 240hp and (I think) 225lb-ft of torque. The 96+ cars with OBDII had the same power, but 236lb-ft of torque thanks to the 3.2 liter. From what I recall, the coupe and sedan weigh the same.

As for the handling, supposedly those cars are VERY forgiving to drive and that means that if you are in your S2K and a poorer driver than yourself is in his E36 M3 on a twisty road, he might be able to stay right there with you

I wouldnt mind an E36 M3 4 door sedan in place of my S2000. You lose the top down motoring and the race car like feel, but the M3/4 sure holds its own in the straights/turns...

"For all those "keep it safe and off the road people" it was late at night and the freeway was empty ok? I didn't kill anyone. "

Funny, Except for the part of "I Didn't kill anyone"... thats what every person says who actually kills someone say.
