Default easiest way to remove softtop

Looking to take out my softop and motors etc. I have no use for it since i got a hardtop. Now the question, How hard is it to take out? Do i need to remove all the rear plactic pieces to do so? any help would be great. Thanks

you iwll have to remove all the pieces to get to the neccessary bolts, including the roll bars and glove box. not too hard, but about a 4 hour job!

Why not just leave it put ?????? You won't be noticably faster by saving a few pounds. Sounds like a lot more trouble than it's worth.......... Especially if you go to sell the car or have a change of heart down the road.

I am in the process of doing this too, I am going to start tomorrow. Some weight adds up, -20ibs weight reduction is nice for someone who wants the lowest than can go. But if you need it later then your ****ed.
