I've always called it an x-brace because that's all I've ever seen it referred to as. It never occured to me that x might mean cross in this instance too. I've never said the word out loud though, so I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe this thread should have been titled "The fx of forums on people."

WTF is *that* ?!?!?

Is that some kind of land sail? For when you are low on gas? You just raise that bad boy up and let mother nature take over?

It must work pretty good for you to keep something so butt ass ugly on your car ...

wow.

Been a little too lazy to put the red trunk back on, so I've been driving around looking like a complete tool with a fat spoiler and no passenger seat. From some angles it looks pretty cool, I think...

What you see there is just the tip of the iceberg, my friends. You're invited to come out to Laguna Seca next month with SpeedVentures to see what's next.

Well shouldn't it be Auto+ anyway?? A "+" is closer to a cross than a "x" anyway..

Then you'd be hearing " .. so, do you auto-plus it?" ...

I think that in this case one should give ignorance the benifit of the the doubt as one knew what he meant. Now if you corrected him and told him it was "autocross" and he did not know what that was.......that is a diffrent story.
