oh man that sucks... when i had my eucaliptus green prelude someone egged it and the damage looked exactly the same. i had no idea what it was because i never found any egg or knew where it happened. eventually a friend who owns a auto detailing shop told me that it had been egged. i ended up getting a very fine brush and touching it up...

little bastards that would do this...very uncouth. i would prefer a rock through the window or slash my top... messing with someones paint is just wrong

Well, we're considering a stake-out to catch the little bastards.
Since this was the 4th time this has happened in the past couple of months, with no more than 3 weeks between incidents, we're pretty sure they're going to try it again. We'll see what happens. Thanks.

The paint damage will probably require a repaint if you are picky.

Drop flyers off at each house on the street to notify the parents and their responsibilty if their child is caught.

Sorry to see something like that happen, you may want to take it to a body shop and see if they can buff it out. You would be supprised at how well a body shop can remove scratches. Good luck

Chris .... sorry to hear that man, I know how bad it feels as a victim being vandalized. Hope you get them soon. Does your friend drive a 2000 silver Prelude?

This is exactly what I was thinking too............Bring a vid camera also. I would probably make them eat the whole box of eggs if I caught them.

mstw: yes, it's a 2000 silver prelude

s2ktaxi: bait? well, we could just leave the Celica in the driveway - that's been enough of a target for them so far. It's a very recognizable Celica.

gota2d: since the car has to go into the shop soon anyway, I'll have them look at the scratches. If there is cost involved to get it right, I'd prefer to have the little jerks who did this cough up the cash.

S TWO K: got a low-lux camera to lend me?

Thanks again to everyone. I've had other friends familiar with the situation volunteer to assist in the stakeout. Could be easy to catch and detain them, depending on how desperate they might be... We shall see.
