I talked to Wael back in June and he said that a batch was being made but I haven't been able to get in touch with him since then.

Oh yeah, Andrew from Tech2 has one on his S2K also.

I got my Elda rollbar installed yesterday. It looks great! Anyway, I asked Wael about the CF dash. He told me that he did indeed sell a few of them, but there were some quality problems with the piece. So he had about 15 in stock and sent them all back to his supplier to fix the problems. He said he never heard back from the supplier again, and doubts he will get the CF dash piece back in. He has one in his car though, and it looks good.

Bummer about the dash, but Wael is cooking up something else. A turbo kit! In his 2001 S he has installed a turbo system pushing 6 psi of boost. He wanted some feedback, so while he was putting my rollbar in he tossed me the keys to his car, and turned me loose on some Connecticut back roads. The car was very quick, with good power all over the rev range. Nice, loud BOV venting to the atmosphere if you like that kind of thing. He is still in the tuning process, and is not sure yet went this kit will be offered, but keep an eye out for it, it should be hot.

One last Elda note. If anyone is thinking of getting his rollbar contact him now. He told me that interest has kinda dried up on the bars and that he thinks that my rollbar will be the last one he does. It's a shame because it is such a nice piece. Of course if he does stop production, that will mean my car will be worth millions since it will be the only 2004 S2k in the world with an Elda rollbar

I spoke with Wael through email a little over a month ago. Yes he has been busy working on the turbo kit.

Anyhow, I was going to email him again regarding interest in the carbon fiber dash, but now since rollbars might be discontinued, I might need to hop on that.

I talked to Wael today and he explained what was going on. Thanx again to MiniF1 for finding out and relaying the message.

I was kind of disappointed to hear that, for now, Elda would not be selling the C/F dash or roll bar. But I also understood their sitaution concerning buyer interest and certain costs. What really made me sad is that I didn't jump at the chance to purchase any of Elda's products when there was more interest. Oh well, what can I do? On to plan B.

Someway, somehow........hopefully in the future their will be a way that Elda will sell these products again.
