Let's have a show of hands: Who paid $5.5-6K for their SC kit? If you did, lemme tell you, I got a bridge down here in the Keys that you NEED to have in your real estate collection.

All joking aside, I don't doubt the quality of Elda/Bell's kit (I have the new Super Street, just haven't had time to read it yet). But let's be realistic: for $6K, I could get an SC kit with AC boosting at 7.5 psi ($4K), an AEM EMS ($1.3K) and 550cc injectors ($400) and VERY easily throw down 315 whp -- as one of our local members just did 2 weeks ago at dyno day. That's a 115 vs. 72 whp increase in favor of the SC. Who's doing the spanking then, I wonder?

One thing I WILL admit: there is waaaay more upside potential with a turbo. But you're also talking waaaay more than $6K there too. Assuming a $6K ceiling, I still maintain that an SC kit for this car is the best bang for the buck. Period.

Flame suit on...
Okay, you have peak power which is 315hp. Thats only near redline and if you look at usuable power across the entire rev range, the turbo kit putting out only 72hp more than stock is still gonna have a lot more usuable power throughout the entire rpm band. Basically the SC will get owned cause the power comes on sooner and stays, not to mention there is a lot more torque than a SC setup.

exactly what my point was. Even though it's "only" 72hp more, it's 72rwhp more from 3.5k to 9k.

Dont forget about VTEC engagement as well coming around 6000 rpm . Thats where it really starts to show power improvement .

Whats the max psi level it can take . All i know is that its a garret-airesearch t3/t4 hybrid turbocharger with .48 a/rand 60-1 compressor trim . It can hold up to about 60 lbs of pressure and 500+ ponies .

But the question i have is can this turbo's psi go larger than 5? because i know the S can take at most up to around 11 or 12 psi without having to do any internal work .
