Oh, yeah, of course. Duh. I was thinking of feeblechargers, I guess.

On the other hand...

It occurred to me on reading the (highly technical and obviously quite advanced) information on the e-RAM site that they need to specify flow rates as well as overpressure; or, to put it the other way, their super one provides 1.7psi at what flow rate? Seems like it could actually impede the flow -- providing as much as a -1.7psi, maybe -- at high flow rates, making is a Super e-SUCK. HPH

Guys, guys. Don't bother with this cheap system. I have a better system coming out. Guaranteed 50hp to the wheels.

That's wrong on so many levels.

That will never get you 50 hp. That orange hose should not be looped over on itself like that. Shorten it and make it a straight run and you might have something.

No, no. You see, the loop creates an internal vortex causing the air to spiral hence making the flow faster like a turbonator
I feel so stupid now. I get it. You've actually IMPROVED on the turbonator concept.

Exactly. You're picking up on it now. And with the afterheater option, you'll get an additional 20 ponies

I hope I don't get shot for this...

But here is another electric solution that may have some merit.

Nope, no merit. Sorry. You would get more boost by farting in your intake than putting on one of these things.

This has been debated, but since the gear reduction allows for plenty of torque to drive the supercharger, and since it's powered by a separate bank of batteries than your car's electrical system, it appears to be totally a independant system. It can be recharged via solar panels, plug-in, or you can upgrade your alternator to a 200 amp and allow the system to recharge that way. It's not like a regular supercharger but more like Nitrous, as it gives you 15 second bursts of speed (limited only by the amount of battery power you have).

Plus it's not an inline "fan", it uses a genuine compressor housing and appears to have an intake tract bypass that allows intake air to bypass the supercharger when not in use--getting rid of any restriction. Thoughts?
