Had my 1st embarrassing moment at my dealer today. After I have been telling all you guys about how you should never need to put your roof up I got caught in a 15 minute heavy rain storm whilst stuck in commuter traffic. Up goes the roof and down comes the rain. I try to close the windows and the passenger side window refuses to move!

So here I am getting a lot of rain through the passenger side window (left side) all over my briefcase when I think about all the posts about Stooks with driver (left) side window jamming problems.

So picking up the trusty mobile (with hands free kit of course) I proceeded to call my dealer and demand they fix it immediately. They were most apologetic and told me to come straight in. I couldn't do this until after lunch due to business commitments but as soon as I drove in the mechanic leans in and flips off the window child lock and up goes the window.

All I can say is that I never touch that thing - must have been my kids playing with it. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Here's hoping you didn't actually yell at the dealer, because if you did and I were them, I'd probably treat you like crap from now on.

Pretty funny, though.

Of course! That's the "feature" that allows you to lock your window in the open position for the protection of small children.

Yep, exact same thing happened to me, but I had to bring it in the next day, because my window was "broken" when I got home one night.

God, did I feel like a schmuck, especially since I know so much about cars...
