in my early days with my '05, I'd only recently learned to drive stick...two incidents:
1.) Almost totalled the car downshifting from 5th to 2nd instead of 4th...didn't blip the throttle nearly enough...roads were wet, and my car was doing circles like an amusement park teacup. my tail was between my legs after that f up.

2.) First race against an RSX-S, I/H/E, bounced off the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd...needless to say, I lost.

i'm older, wiser, and not so hot headed anymore

About a year ago, I was stuck in traffic, but it was still moving intermittently and I tried to put my top down. Half way down, the traffic started to move, I sort off panic because the car behind me started honking. I pulled down the E brake then moved forward while the top was half way down for about 30 feet until the traffic went to a hault again . I then immediately pulled the e brake up again to fully put the top down. To me it was rather embarrassing
That's pretty embarrassing alright - and funny too.

i went up this windy road with a female impressing her top down and when we reached the top of the road we kicked it for a while. It was after a rainy day and the sky was clearing up so it was a beautiful view but my dumb ass left my head lights on. I tried to start the car and no luck. Called a buddy who came down WITHOUT A JUMPER!!!! thinking he was ****ing rambo and can push start the car. No luck.... to top it off a fire truck was around and didnt have any jumpers.... about an hour later another buddy came through with jumper and off I go. Pretty embarrasing for a first date =P needless to say she stuck around for 9 months and counting lol

The next day after picking up my car I just got back to my house after going for a drive, feeling like the man coz I just bout my S. My driveway is up a little from the road so the car sits on an angle with its ass to the road.
Being my first stick car, I didn't realise that you had to always pull the handbrake up pretty firmly. Quite used to barely using it in an auto. Parked my car and went inside.

10minutes later I get a call from my sister.. "WTF are you doing?? you'd better come outside and look at your car". So I bolt outside to find my car had rolled back down the driveway and was blocking my entire street (luckily I don't live on a main rd). Thank god it hadn't rolled far enough to hit the parked car on the other side of the street. My sister was in her car on one side... there was another random bloke in his car on the other side...quite sheepishly I drove my car back up the driveway.

when i first went to test drive my S it had been about a month or so since the last time i had driven a stick car.....a little back story, my 99 Si was stolen and i had owned it for almost 8 years.......so i got in and made sure it was in neutral and put the key to the on position and tried pushing the starter button but it wouldnt start, lo and behold it was cause my stupid self forgot to push in the clutch, i was so embarassed and did that in front of my gf and the salesman, i have no idea how after so many years of driving my car and having been without it for only about a month i had already forgotten to do that.

Not used to my alarm system, at a car show I went to pop the trunk and forgot it was armed. I even reached in and my proximity warned me, I was distracted and then when I opened the trunk my alarm started blaring haha. I didn't really care that much but a little embarrassing!

Ha too funny..., I had just purchased my car in Vancouver and was heading back to the ferry, got so into driving and listening to the Invidia's that I got lost. Then when I finally got to the ferry, I realized I had not asked how to put down the top. I ended up driving home all the way with the top down (was a nice night though..., really) and put the car in the garage and had to come up and google my car to figure it out. Nice thing is I found the 'secret compartment' while googling and all the owners manuals and vehicle history was in there...,
