Default Emergency Flasher turns on while shifting

Have any of you ever accidently turned on
'your emergency flashers while shifting gears???
Can't say that I'm crazy about the location of that
button. I turned on the flashers twice while shifting
today and my hands aren't "gorilla" hands.

I can't even imagine that even happening????

What's hitting it? your wrist? fingers?

Only ergonomic problem I have is hitting the wipers coming thru the finish line at Auto-X's

My dog occasionally steps on it while riding shotgun. But I'm with Mindcore...I can't imagine hitting it while shifting.

I'm gonna have to agree with you guys here. Unless you're shifting from the base of the stick and don't even have your hand on the knob, then maybe I can see it happening.

Even with my Muz counter-sunk shift knob, my hand has never so much as brushed the center console while shifting. In fact I was going nuts a few weeks ago trying to find the emergency flasher button because I was looking on the dash!

Perhaps you should alter your shifting technique? I always have my hand on top of the shifter. Feels most natural to me that way.

I've bumped the temperature knob when shifting (going from the steering wheel to the shifter and back is along that path).

All of the sudden I can't understand why it's getting so hot in the car!

There is another set of similar nagging little annoyances that would bug me if I didn't love the S2k as much. They are the push-to-open/push-to-close doors on the radio and the console.
I invariably open either one or the other or both on almost every trip.

I guess this latch is a few pennys(yen?) cheaper than the old fashion slide latch or spring toggle open/close hinge.
These are OK for the home stereo system where there are no people constantly moving within inches of the door, or maybe I'm a little two fisted in the cockpit. It bugs me nonetheless.

Lelandro,

I'm with you-every once in a while I bump it too. Just wanted to let you know you weren't the only one.

I have a problem keeping the radio door looking descent.
When I touch it with my finger, the protectant rubs off and it looks horrible. Please help me.

And I like the hazard button location.
The only thing I'm waitiong for is Rick to make an "Eject" replacement button.
