Default Engine bay getting filthy...how do you clean it?

My engine bay is really dirty. I don't feel like going in with a toothbrush...is there a faster solution anyone has tried?

Any products out there for me?

Thanks!

I usually wash and rinse under the hood once a month. After I have washed the car, I usually pop the hood and use the left over soapy water and mitt to clean under the hood and different parts on and around the motor. Then, I use the mist spray to rinse it all off.
Works to keep my under the hood clean. Also, I will take some 303 on a rag and wipe down the plastic parts and hoses under the hood. This helps prevent dirt from sticking to these.

Have you ever had problems getting the electrical wet under the hood?

i wipe most parts under the hood every time i wash the car...
have to dry in there anyway, so while i am doing that i use an old rag to dry and the same rag (now damp from drying) to wipe up other areas. if you do this, no soap usually needed. you can also use vinelyx on the plastic parts if you wish.
of course you need to first get it clean from where it is now, and i agree that a steam clean might be a reasonble choice.

I'll have to check the brand of stuff I have at home, but I bought this stuff at Pep Boys that worked really well. It comes with two cans (2-step cleaning process). I used a light mist at the local coin-op to rinse. The engine bay looked incredible after I cleaned it. The spray made all the hoses look brand new. The only bad thing, the whole process takes a good 40+ minutes. It needs plenty of time to soak in the spray, and at the end you have to run the engine for 15-20 minutes and let it all evaporate off before driving. Speaking of, I need to do this again soon.

I hit mine every other wash with compressed air and wipe down the grim with a towel...something about spraying my engine with water makes me uneasy.

Water spray has never hurt or affected any of the Hondas that I have owned. Granted, I only use the spray mist and not the force stream on the hose.
After every wash, the motor always starts. The way I figure it, probally no more water than if driving on wet/rainy highway.
