Default Engine Hall of Fame

The F20C Hall of Fame

Excuse me if this is old news. I came across this article this morning. The F20C engine makes the Motor Trend Engine Hall of Fame list.

Very cool list to read through.

Not surprising that it was included though. It was "Engine of the Year" for several years running back in the day.

They could have at least put an AP1 as the pic, or a JDM/UK AP2

Dumb click-bait best-of lists leads to dumb Internet forum flame wars. Nothing new here.

Those are fine engines and im proud to own one of them, but the list is too short.

Well, if you haven't seen this as well

The AP2 people will invariably chime in and dispute what is clearly an objective fact that the F20c is engineering marvel and the F22c is a watered down version of a masterpiece.

They hate hearing that, but the F20c will and always will be regarded as the "true engine of the s2000" and what made the car a legend. Simple as that.

I had no intentions of starting a flame war. I love the S2000 in any form.

Perhaps you should elaborate on how the F22C is watered down? Is it not the same engine with some minor changes to make its powerband more useful? In terms of volumetric efficiency, which is the only thing that matters with an engine, they are both the SAME.
