The AP2 people will invariably chime in and dispute what is clearly an objective fact that the F20c is engineering marvel and the F22c is a watered down version of a masterpiece
I'll wait for a come back.
As I do that, I'll be saving the world for now!

Meh...
Even if the ap2 were a watered down, unworthy, common, pedestrian, lump of a boat anchor, why would you feel that you had to honor your Hall of Fame accolade by immediately denigrating the ap2?
You cant bask in your honor without putting someone else down?
I have to say, it feels like insecurity. Most of these flame war posts Ive seen, the ap2 responders give props to the ap1, respect its legacy, and those that own it, even as they prefer the ap2 for their own needs. Meanwhile the ap1 flame war participants tend to show disdain and disrespect the ap2, as if the height of their pedestal will grow if they push the ap2 down enough.

As I said before...... What made the s2000 so special was the F20c engine which is CONSISTENTLY proven by the accolades it continues to receive 16 years later. The F22c was primarily a response to the US market for "MORE TORQUE" and was not the intention of Honda when they built this car. The far far far majority of S2000s made and sold around the world have the f20c engine for that reason.
As far as "insecurity", I am a grown man with a big swinging D#@#. Nothing associated with inanimate objects that anyone can purchase would ever make me feel insecure. The fact that you AP2 guys get your panties in a twist any time this topic comes up reeks of insecurity.
The f22c is essentially the same engine, but still watered down from the original form and what Honda engineers envisioned as groundbreaking. The f20c set the records and required engineering on a level that wasn't thought possible at that point.
And by the way, our AP1 tachometers are and always will be 2 inches longer than your Ap2 tachometers
Fait Accompli.....
