Default Engine issue

Hi guys,

My engine has some oil moisture around the cover after every time I drove it aggressively. It happened 6,000 miles ago, and I changed the oil every 2.5k-3k miles. Last time, I also changed things as below, based on my mechanic advice. But after that, the problem is there, I already drove another 3k miles. If anyone has this experience, please tell me how to solve it. Help…

PCV PCV Grommet

Valve + Grommets

Tube Seals each

Oil Cap Gasket

AP2 retainer

Looks clean to me other than by the oil cap. Annoying rather than critical. You're pointing to areas where you changed gaskets. OEM gaskets or Ebay?

All the torques correct and in proper sequence where appropriate? Spark plug torque?

I changed everything oem. The job was done by a shop, and I think torqued everything correctly. The engine is actually running good, feels nothing wrong. Got no clue what is it about… Just worrying if there is something wrong.

Try cleaning up the areas with the stains, drive it and check the area again. Those stains could be leftover from the work your mechanic did and failed to clean up.

With everything cleaned up, you should have an easier time determining if you have a leak and where it is coming from.

Take a photo of the underside of the oil filler cap from a couple of angles so we can observe the gasket which is a common point for oil vapor leakage.

The spark plug torque spec was increased to 24 lbf-ft several years ago so yours may be loose if torqued to the earlier spec. Loose plugs could allow oil vapor to escape. Link to torque.

I’ll try to get it later. Thanks for your advice.

is your oil cap new? maybe the rubber seal has aged. Sometimes, the seal separates itself from the oil cap when the oil cap is removed and goes missing.

the valve cover bolts have a specific torque value as well- 8.7 lbft iirc.
